WE ARE
The ancient tradition of viticulture on the hills around Lake Trasimeno dates back to the Etruscan civilization and is based on the peculiarity of the soil and on the favourable climate. Here the vine has always had an excellent habitat which allows the production of good quality wines that received the DOC mark in 1972. The Trasimeno cooperative wine-growers’ association with its yearly output of 40000 hectolitres is one of the main activities in this sector both for DOC and table wine production.
