1996 the most important producers of the DOC "Colli del Trasimeno" wine
joined their forces to
face together the problems concerning the evolution of the vine-growing
and wine production activities.In January 1997 a consortium named "Consorzio Colli del Trasimeno" was promoted; its trade-mark image reproduces a detail of a painting by the Perugino representing the gentle hills surrounding the Lake Trasimeno.
Quality is the consortium main purpose; therefore it aims to meet partners'
demands, concentrating its activity on the application of disciplinary
measures to wine production and on the organisation of promotion campaigns.
Wine quality is fundamental
to be successful.
Thanks to the competence and the engagement of their leaders, the association
intends to be the best centre for the development and the exploitation
of the "Colli del Trasimeno" (shortly "Trasimeno") wines.
