The
farmhouse 'Giada' is situated in the centre of Italy and only
a short distance from Lake Trasimeno making it an ideal place for
visiting Umbria and Tuscany.
Umbria's most well known destination is Assisi, of renown
religious, historical and cultural importance. The territory is
rich in many other interesting 'cities of art' such as Perugia,
Gubbio, Orvieto, Spoleto, le Fonti del Clitunno and other charming
hamlets. In Tuscany there is the memorable San Casciano dei Bagni
with its 46 hot water springs; Pienza, the city of Enea, Silvio
Piccolomini the great humanist who became pope in 1458;
Montepulciano with its many artistic treasures and architecture,
birthplace of "Il Poliziano", and where the famous wine
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano D.O.C.G. is produced; also to be
remembered is Montalcino, Cetona, S. Quirico D'orcia, Radicofani,
Chianciano and Arezzo with great works by Piero Della Francesca.
